You!

In the light of the day, I can see the beauty of the world. At night when the world is dark, I see the greatness of the universe. Why is it so hard for us to accept that there is a God that created it all? For thousands of years man has walked the earth and looked up at the stars. For thousands of years the world has existed, but not you. The world did not need you, it existed anyway. The sounds of laughter and tears echoes from the past, but you were not a part of it. If God did not create the universe and everything in it, where did you come from? In comparison to the universe, you are so tiny that it seems impossible that you even are here. Is it not strange that you are here? A miracle took place the moment you were born. Your chance! Dig your feet down on a warm sandy beach. You can feel it, Can’t you? Look up at the stars. You can see them, right? Close your eyes and listen, what do you hear? Perhaps you hear the sound of the ocean, or maybe you hear the sound of traffic on a busy street? Or maybe you hear the cry of a baby, the sound of a new life that just began? You ask, “Where did all these things come from?” Somebody told you that there was a big bang and so life began. That still does not explain where you came from. Even if somebody was able to explain the earth and the stars and how they came to be. You cannot be explained. It is a mystery that you are here. You are here to experience and see life with your very own eyes. Sometimes the hardest things to see and to believe are the things that are right in front of us. It is too simple, it has to be more complicated than that, or? Who can understand life? God does, because He created it. But He did not leave us clueless. Since the beginning of mankind, God has been there. He is still here and He gave you the gift of life. Has anyone given you a better gift? God loved you so much that He sent His own son, Jesus. It was not that long ago, only two thousand years. The world recognizes His existence. Even so, the world can not believe that He was in fact God himself. Even if the world does not believe that He was who He said He is, you can. You have the opportunity to enter the world that is hidden in the Bible, on your own. There is evidence in the Bible. If you truly seek it, you will find it. Through Jesus, God came into this world as a man. He came to tell us that there is a way for you to have eternal life. TO NEVER DIE! YOU WERE BORN TO LIVE FOREVER! Do you want to see God to believe? How can you ask such a thing? If you were to see God in all His power and majesty, what makes you think that you would live to see the sun rise again? The Great I Am, who spoke the world into existence; before Him we would all perish. This short reflection was part of the material that I wrote for Captured by Sacred Love.
